What we do

With "Welfare Xperience” we want to address current and future stakeholders in agriculture and animal husbandry.

We will provide them with various digital learning modules,

with which they can acquire knowledge about the basics of animal welfare and herd management of cattle and sheep.

Users will be able to apply, analyze and evaluate the newly acquired knowledge in a playful way.

The e-learning offer can be used completely independently in self-study or integrated into a teaching or further training event in the sense of a modular system.

The content is prepared interactively in the form of a simulation game and a learning platform.

By digitalizing the content, we make it possible to impart knowledge to a broad target group in very different contexts.

With "Welfare Xperience" we provide relevant information about animal-friendly husbandry of cattle and sheep to the people who will be responsible for animal husbandry in the present and future.

We consider it particularly relevant to focus on animal welfare and environmental protection in the context of more sustainable livestock husbandry systems early on in vocational training.

Additionally, it is also important to consider the benefits and drawbacks of procedures that affect long- and short-term animal welfare, economic factors, and food quality.

However, veterinarians who are also active in the livestock sector have criticized the fact that the previous training and work of animal handlers has focused too much on the economic aspects of livestock husbandry (Christian 2020).

With the diverse offer of topics in our app, you have the opportunity to close knowledge gaps in a targeted manner.

With "Welfare Xperience" we want to make a significant contribution to improving knowledge transfer in the field of animal welfare for cattle and sheep.
